Networking + Walking  = Netwalking

Swap your business suit for welly boots and head outside to join fellow enthusiastic netwalkers to walk, talk and network! It's the perfect opportunity to reflect on your business, bounce ideas about with others, generate new strategies, develop new opportunities, build connections and draw inspiration from nature one step at a time with the added bonus of gentle exercise.

Anna-Marie and Wafaa joined forces at the beginning of 2016 to create a series of netwalking events in the South West region. Their partnership is based on a mutual love of the great outdoors, walking, talking and bringing like-minded business owners together to share ideas, concepts, support and laughter. Networks are hosted monthly in either Devizes, Bath or Bradford on Avon. These are currently on hold due to COVID-19 restrictions though we'll be back as soon as possible!

Read the blog post "Taking Networking Outdoors" to learn more about how Anna-Marie and Wafaa collaborated through their netwalking project.

During May 2018 interviews from our regular netwalkers were featured as part of the BBC Wiltshire Step into Summer campaign to collectively walk over 100,000 miles. Listen into their thoughts below:

“Makes a change from standing around with a drink and canape.

I love getting out in the fresh air and find it's the perfect way to become more productive afterwards”

Amelia Douchet,

Associate Solicitor at Forrester Sylvester Mackett Solicitors, Bath

Tired of making small talk over yet another full English breakfast in a stuffy conference room?

Fancy an invigorating walk in the fresh air, surrounded by beautiful classic British countryside with likeminded entrepreneurial business owners?

"I find walking makes you a better listener.

Netwalking has encouraged me to think what more can be done outdoors".

Paul Carroll,

A Gentle Reminder

An element of common sense should always be applied before heading outside - in particular, consider the British weather!

We strongly recommended to checking the weather forecast the night before and bringing along welly boots, a waterproof jacket, an umbrella, warm layers, a scarf and hat, and a water bottle.

Remember to also bring along your business cards to exchange with fellow netwalkers.

Netwalking is unfortunately unsuitable for babies, little people and our four-legged friends.

After an extended break due to COVID restrictions we're delighted to be back for our next netwalk on Tuesday 7th December 2021.

Netwalkers are invited to meet in front of the Tithe Barn at 11am to walk, talk and network along the scenic banks of the Kennet and Avon Canal. The 4km flat route will take approximately an hour and there is the opportunity to purchase your refreshments after the walk at a local cafe to reflect on your experience and continue conversations.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite - here
