ATHLETE

Anna-Marie constantly pushes her own mental and physical boundaries and has achieved considerable success at an elite international level in many endurance sports.

 

She combines the disciplines of ultra running and long distance triathlon with the odd adventure race thrown in for good measure.

Anna-Marie's endurance journey spans over nineteen years with an initial gentle introduction through the London Marathon (2004 and 2007) and the Everest Marathon (2007). She tackled her first ultra, the CCC (part of the Ultra Trail de Mont Blanc (UTMB) series) in 2008, placing firmly at the back of the field and narrowly missing the course cut-off time by minutes.
 
After consistent and focused training her ultra-running career gone from strength to strength over recent years. Anna-Marie has competed at an international ultra-running level and during the 2018 season placed 7th in the Ultra Trail World Tour ladies' annual rankings. Although she now takes a more balanced approach to her athletic career she still enjoys a challenge!!! 

She has completed over forty ultra-running events including 100km, 100 miles and multi-stage. In addition she has participated in ten IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon races including three World Championships (Las Vegas, Mount Tremblant and South Africa), two full-distance triathlon and a smorgasbord of endurance adventures. During her athletic career she's been supported by a number of brands including the French endurance company WAA aka “What An Adventure”, Precision Fuel and Hydration, ULTRA-X, Veloforte and La Sportiva.

Alongside her passion for ultra-running, Anna-Marie is a keen triathlete who has competed in two full distance events (3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run) - Bigman in Prague, Czech Republic (2013) and Challenge Roth, Germany, where she placed in the top 15% of her age category. 

She consistently achieves podium positions within her age group at IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon events (1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run), and she has qualified for the World Championships three times in Port Elizabeth (2012), Las Vegas (2014) and Mont Tremblant (2018), placing in the top third of her age group.
