Anna-Marie constantly pushes her own mental and physical boundaries and has achieved considerable success at an elite international level in many endurance sports.
She combines the disciplines of ultra running and long distance triathlon with the odd adventure race thrown in for good measure.
Anna-Marie's endurance journey spans over sixteen years with an initial gentle introduction through the London Marathon (2004 and 2007) and the Everest Marathon (2007). She tackled her first ultra, the CCC (part of the Ultra Trail de Mont Blanc (UTMB) series) in 2007, placing firmly at the back of the field and narrowly missing the course cut-off time by minutes.
After consistent and focused training her ultra-running career gone from strength to strength over recent years. Anna-Marie now competes at an international level and during the 2018 season placed 7th in the Ultra Trail World Tour ladies' annual rankings. The full annual ranking can be found here, and full details of her race career can be found here.
'If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them'.
